The former veteran Indian Captain MS Dhoni successfully bring up the World titles to the indian team in all the major tournaments including 50 over world cup, T20 world cup and Champions Trophy. After his scintillating performance of scoring 455 runs in 16 matches as a captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to lift the 2018 IPL cup previously this year, everyone batted an eye on to see his batting performance in the upcoming ODI matches. However in recent times, Mahendra Singh Dhoni struggles to show his power packed innings in the 50 over format.
In the Asia cup, he scored only 77 runs in 4 matches with an average of 19.25 and strike rate of 62.09. In 2018, he played 10 matches as of now, averages 28.12 with a strike rate of 67.36.

To all the critics, former Indian Captain Saurav Ganguly backed MS Dhoni on an interview on Sunday 20th Oct, 2018 saying that Dhoni will do well in the 2019 World Cup. And also he doubted on the combination that the Indian Selectors were thinking. The windies series will be crucial for Dhoni and it will be a big series for him to bounce back, Ganguly told at the interview on Barsapara Cricket Stadium.
