The swing king Praveen Kumar has called it a day. Yes the player has announced his retirement in all forms of cricket. The 32 year old said in an interview on 20-10-2018 and has plans to pursue in coaching the gentleman’s game.

The swing bowler has last played for India in the year 2012. He played 68 ODIs, started his career in the 2007 against Pakistan. He has taken 3 four wicket hauls which includes 4/31 vs SriLanka, 4/46 vs Australia and 4/53 vs Pakistan. His spell against Australia was fascinating and made India to lift Commonwealth Bank Series in Australian soil which is a rare thing. The Australians had no clue against his bowling and got bundled out.

The right medium fast bowler is very unlucky as he missed both the world cups 2007 T20 and 2011 50 over format. He got selected in the team but got injury on both the occasions and missed to be part of winning team on both times.

The Meerut born also emerged success in test match where he took 5 wicket haul on Lords which is considered as “THE MECCA OF CRICKET”. The only reason for his exclusion is the injury that made the bowler to sit out and made him to miss the game lot of times.

He had played 119 IPL matches from 2008 to 2017 for the teams like Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab, Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Once he has taken hat trick against Rajasthan Royals while playing for RCB in the year 2010.

In the interview he said he wants to be a bowling coach for ONGC team and plans to build his career in coaching.
