Brabourne stadium is coming to limelight after 12 years. The stadium last witnessed the finals of the Champions trophy in 2006 and Australia beating West Indies by 8 wickets.
India Vs WestIndies : Highlights of 4th ODI
Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat. The pitch has been observed that the ball will come nicely to the bat and short boundaries. So, it will be easy for the batting team to pile up the runs.
INDIA – ROHIT SHARMA, SHIKHAR DHAWAN, VIRAT KOHLI (C), AMBATI RAYUDU, MS DHONI (WK), KEDAR JADHAV, RAVINDRA JADEJA, BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR, JASPRIT BUMRAH, KHALEEL AHMED, KULDEEP YADAV.

India made two changes Kedar Jadhav and Khaleel Ahmed comes in and out goes Rishabh Pant, Chahal.
Windies made one change Keemo Paul comes in and out goes Obed McCoy.
INDIA BATTING SUMMARY
OPENING – RUN MACHINE’S RARE FAILURE
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were in the middle and Kemar Roach had the new ball. From the ball one Rohit was in aggressive mode and hit a boundary, it looked like it was his day. Another new ball was shared by Holder, the Windies captain. Both the openers were taking singles and hitting boundaries. The partnership touched 50 run mark and it was a typical ODI style of innings. Their partnership went beyond Sachin-Sehwag duo and became second in India behind Sachin-Ganguly pair.
Just when the score was moving quickly, Keemo Paul removed Dhawan by his slow bowling. He got out for 38 runs and the team score was 71/1 in 11.5 overs. Now it was captain Kohli to join with hitman. While it was expecting for Kohli to make another century, he got out for mere 16 runs bowled by Roach. It was Kohli’s low score this year and a rare failure for him. Team score was 101/2 in 16.4 overs.
MIDDLE ORDER – CLASSY INNINGS
Ambati Rayudu came to the crease. Both of them started their partnership in aggressive note and was clearly hitting all the balls for boundaries and rotating the strike. Rohit hits 50 and was toying the bowlers. Rayudu on the other hand was playing asusal in quest for getting 4th spot permananent. The Partnership was going beyond 50 and the windies bowlers couldn’t stop them.
Soon Rohit notched up his 21st ODI hundred and he became 4th player to reach in fewer innings. Rayudu also hit his 10th half century in style. Rohit started smashing the balls and soon he reached his 7th 150 run mark. The duo added 200 run mark and became highest partnership for the 3rd wicket against West Indies. Rohit became second player in history to get 2 150+ innings in a series after Hamilton Masakadza in 2009. He beat Sachin’s tally of number of sixes (195) and became second player in India after Dhoni. Nurse came and made the breakthrough, he removed Rohit for 162 runs. The team score was 312/3 in 43.5 overs.
LOWER ORDER – GOING BEYOND
Now Dhoni joined the crease. On the other hand Rayudu crossed 100 run mark and it was his 3rd ODI hundred. But after reaching his hundred he got run out for a direct hit by Allen. He went for 100 runs off 81 balls and the team score was rallying 344/4 in 47.1 overs. Kedar Jadhav walks in and has no time to settle. Dhoni got out for 23 runs after hitting 2 boundaries. India crossed 350 mark. Finally team score reached 377/5 in 50 overs. Jadhav was not out on 16 runs and Jadeja was not out on 7 runs.
Among the bowlers no one was accurate and all went for leaking runs. Kemar Roach has 2 wickets and was leading the chart.
INDIA BATTING STAR – Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu were the stars.

OPENING – FALLING LIKE A PACK OF CARDS
Windies openers have a huge task in hand. They were set a target of 378 runs. Asusal the openers were Powell and Hemraj. The new balls were shared between Bhuvneshwar and Bumrah. Just when the team score reached 20 runs Hemraj lost his wicket bowled by Bhuvneshwar. Now the last two ODI’s savior Hope came to the crease with the hope of shifting the run rate, but alas he got run out by a direct throw from Kuldeep. The team score now reads 20/2 in 4.4 overs. Now the experienced Marlon Samuels joined with Powell. This time Powell got run out by an accurate throw hit by Kohli. Team score has no change in runs column and it was 20/3 in 5.2 overs. Now Hetmyer joined with Samuels. We all know about Hetmyer’s ability.
MIDDLE ORDER – NEVER RECOVERED
Hetmyer started hitting boundaries and was looking to continue his form. But that’s where Khaleel brought in and Hetmyer got lbw for 13 runs. Rovman Powell joined with Samuels. But soon Powell also got bowled by a superb piece of delivery by Khaleel. The team score was 47/5 in 11.3 overs. The captain of Windies Holder joined and was rotating the strike. But Samuels couldn’t make it. His poor form in bat continued and he fell for 18 runs bowled by Khaleel and the catch was taken by Rohit at slip. The scorecard reads 56/6 in 13.4 overs. Fabian Allen joined with Holder. The team score was rising but the wickets were falling out. The bowling and fielding of Indians were superb and that made Windies to struggle.
LOWER ORDER – SOME CONSOLATION AND A MISSED RECORD
Fabian Allen also got knocked out by a superb catch by Rohit bowled by Kuldeep. Now last match Man of the Match Ashley Nurse came and joined with the captain. Jason Holder was striking the ball and was taking full control. The partnership was growing, but it didn’t last long, Nurse got out for 8 runs bowled by Kuldeep. Team score was 101/8.
Keemo Paul joined with Holder and both were rising partnership. Keemo Paul was aggressive but couldn’t last long. He got stumped by Dhoni bowled by Jadeja. Now Kemar Roach came as the last batsman.
Holder reached 40 runs and soon gave a sitter to Dhawan bowled by Jadeja but Dhawan dropped it. It could have been record if Dhawan could have caught. The highest run margin was nearer. Holder somehow crossed 50 run mark and got some consolation. Then there was the last wicket Roach got bowled by Kuldeep and the total Windies score was 153 runs, 9 runs shorter than Rohit’s 162 runs. It was fourth such instance for Indian batsmen to do so. Twice by Rohit, Yuvraj and Sachin once. That’s it India won by 224 runs a highest margin victory for India against a full member team.
WI BATTING STARS – Holder got 1 fifty but didn’t contribute for winning.
Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav bowled and took 3 wickets each. Indian fielders also superb in the ground. Rohit took 3 catches in this match.
