Former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Shikhar Dhawan has been traded to Delhi Daredevils.
On Monday afternoon, Nov 04, 2018, official twitter page of Sunrisers Hyderabad have quoted that they had traded left handed opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan to Delhi Daredevils.
The Sunrisers tweet says,
“We have traded Shikhar Dhawan to Delhi Daredevils for Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Abhishek Sharma. We thank Shikhar for his contribution to the team over the years and wish him the very best.”

Sunrisers traded Dhawan to Daredevils and brought three players from the opposition. Vijay Shankar, the pace-bowling allrounder, Abhishek Sharma – the left hand batsman who is also perform well with the ball and Nadeem, the left-arm spinner. Moreover, Nadeem is also the highest wicket taker in Vijay Hazare Trophy this year.
Dhawan had already played for Delhi Daredevils for inaugural IPL season in 2008. Since 2013, he has been part of the Sunrisers team as a regular opener. Sunrisers used their RTM (Right To Match) card in the IPL 2018 auctions to bring him back for INR 5.2 crore after Kings XI Punjab had put in the winning bid.
Dhawan will be joining with the current team members along with Jason Roy, Colin Roy, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. It could be a added strength to the Delhi`s batting lineup.
