UEFA Champions League (UCL) is a football tournament contested by top clubs in European leagues. The opening round has been ended which contains 32 teams and played in group stage matches. Now the top 16 teams have come to Round of 16 and will be competing in home leg and away leg. Real Madrid are the defending champions and had won the tournament 13 times in the history of UCL. They had won the last 3 tournaments (2016, 2017, 2018). The Italian club Juventus is the only team that has most runners (7) counts. Cristiano Ronaldo has the most goals (121) and is playing for Juventus for the first time in this season’s tournament. The second position is  Lionel Messi of Barcelona, who had scored 106 goals. These 2 stars were the only players to have more than 100 goals in UCL.

Mostly the Spanish clubs had won major amount with 18 times that includes Real Madrid (13) and Barcelona (5). The English clubs and Italian clubs were joint second with 12 titles each. This time there are 4 clubs from English Premier League to feature in Round 16 and has more teams from the same league compared to other clubs this season. Video Assistant Referee (VAR) is going to be used from Round 16 for the first time in the UCL.
