Indian Boxing Legend Mary Kom beats the Ukrainian Boxer Hannah Okhota in the final of the light flyweight 48kg category. She becomes the first woman boxer to won six gold medal in the Amateur World Women`s Boxing Championship competition.

Mary Kom beats North Korean Kim Hyang Mi in the semifinals to reach the final.

Mary beat Okhota by unanimous decision verdict to win the title for the sixth time. She took the crown with the cheering support of New Delhi crowd.

Previously Kom equals the record with the Irish Legend boxer Katie Tylor (5 golds). Mary Kom becomes the world`s successful pugilist in both men and women along with the cuban legend Feliz Savon.

The Manipuri legend won the sixth gold medal after 8 years of medal thirst in the tournament. Kom won her last gold medal in 2010. Mary Kom won the gold medals in 2002,2005,2006,2008,2010 and 2018. Mary now owns seven medals in the World Boxing tournament. She won silver on her debut in 2001.
